PALM OIL

Recently, in the health field, there have been many different opinions about palm oil. Palm oil was regarded as a sacred healing food by many civilizations. It is one of our ingredients in some of our products. It is a high saturated vegetable oil that is edible. Palm oil is derived from the pump (called mesocarp) of the fruit of oil palms. There are few different types of oil palms – African, American, and maripa. Since there are high levels of beta-carotene, it is a reddish color. palm oil

 

Palm oil is one of the most widely produce edible fats in the world, however, in the United States, it accounts for a very small percentage of overall fat consumption. The trees were originally found in West Africa; Indonesia is currently the main world producer of palm oil. In Africa and Asia, it is an absolute staple.

 

Not only is it used to make delicious food products, such as ours, but it is also used to cook with (like any other vegetable oil, coconut oil, olive oil, etc.) Palm oil can also be used to replace butter. It is also used for various other reasons; to start, some people use it for weight loss and to increase the body’s metabolism. It is also used to prevent vitamin A deficiency, some cancers, brain disease, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and aging. The vitamin E that is in the palm oil stops destructive damage and improves blood flow to your brain cells. It can also be used to treat malaria, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and cyanide poisoning. Research also shows that palm oil has some antioxidant effects as well.

 

Palm oil that has been processed does not contain cholesterol and acts as a hydrogenated fat. Hydrogenated fats are the dangerous trans-fatty acids. Since palm oil can be used as a replacement, food manufacturers use it to replace hydrogenated oils in their products. This also means that the food can be advertised as being free of trans fat and cholesterol – both of which are very important in the health food scene.

 

As you can see, research proves that there are a great deal of health benefits to this “sacred healing food.”
